Captain's Quarters is spacious, and very clean.  This ground-level condo provides a fabulous view of the beach!  The front room is welcoming with its gas fireplace, two recliners and sleeper sofa for two.  The private balcony off the master bedroom and bath provides a real treat...to enjoy the surf and waves in the comfort of your own condo.  The kitchen has all appliances, including a drip coffee maker,  and conveniences to serve a full meal or a snack, and a table that seats 6-8. The bedrooms are nautically-themed and complete with queen bed, closet, bedside tables and lamps. The bathroom is sparkling clean with a tub and shower for your convenience, and the master bathroom sports it's own large shower.  A 'sitting room' marks the entrance, where wet shoes, coats, and towels can be placed, to keep things tidy.

Basic spices:  salt/pepper, oil and oil spray, garlic salt, lemon pepper, Italian seasoning, and onion powder.  Kitchen also includes a crock pot, waffle iron, blender, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, pizza pan, pizza cutter, cutlery, some Tupperware.

This condo is one of ten units in the building, so you may hear footsteps walking up upstairs.  It also has Samsung TV and wifi, so the entertainment options are many!  Many guests enjoy watching people on the beach, and the occasional vehicle that gets stuck in the sand.

No smoking in the condo or balcony.   No pets or companion animals, please. No cooking fresh seafood in the condo...it leaves odors that others to not enjoy :)

TWO off-street parking spots available for this condo; other vehicles in party please find parking on adjacent side streets.

It's very easy to step outside and enjoy the ocean air and sights from the convenience of the lawn, downlooking from the bluff to view the tide pools and people on the beach below.

BRING BINOCULARS on your trip!  From here, you can watch ships, whales, people, birds, and vehicles stuck in the sand...great fun!

Sleeps 2-8 guests.  Please note:  our rates are based on two guests, to make this condo affordable for a couple.  After two guests, the rate is only an extra $10/person/night, which is still a very competitive rate for larger groups for the easy beach access and central Oregon coast location.  When quoting or reserving Captain's Quarters, please put in your correct guest numbers.  We are being very open and transparent with you, our guest, and we expect the same treatment in return :)

Our charge for extra guests (more than your reservation is booked for) is only $10/person/night, but if undeclared guests show up, the charge is $20/person/night.

Captain's Quarters is ideally located between the Pacific Ocean and Lincoln City.  Drive down the ramp to spin a few doughnuts in the sand or beachcomb for miles in either direction!  Walk 1/4 mile to town to enjoy pizza, ice cream cones, Pier 101 seafood, Thai, Chinese or Mexican food and stroll through souvenir and thrift shops.

This condo is in the upscale Oceanlake Historic District, conveniently located close to a ramp to actually drive onto the beach sand!

Beach access is via 50 gentle stairs (with one handrail) or a paved ramp to drive down!  In fact, during April - Sept,  many people like to park their cars on the beach (right below the condo) when the tide is out!  But twice a day, the tide rolls in, and clears everybody out!!!

For the shoppers in your group, Tanger Mall on Highway 101 in Lincoln city has name-brand outlet shopping for those who wish to cruise the shops, as well as many antique stores and curio shops.

The Chinook Winds Casino and Convention Center is just 2 miles north, with an indoor golf resort, seafood dining, concerts and entertainment, and 23 table games.

Chinook Winds Casino operates a shuttle bus, which comes right past our condo.  You may call the driver at (541) 921-5100...to schedule pickup.  The shuttle leaves the casino every hour, on the hour. and traverses Lincoln City down to the south end of town to Mo's Restaurant at 51st St, then returns on NW Harbor Ave (our street).  Operates on weekends only:  FRI and SAT...4 pm - 2 am, SUN...4 pm - midnight.

The local Chamber of Commerce sponsors a fun program called 'Finders Keepers' and annually hides 3000 hand blown glass sand dollars and Japanese sea floats along the 7 1/2 miles of Lincoln City beach! Be sure to walk the beach in front of your condo and look along the cliffs and among the grass and driftwood for these valuable collector items!

Devils Lake, deep only in terms of historic folklore, is 1/3 mile wide, 3 miles long, and reaches a depth of only 22 feet. Nine species of freshwater fish beckon the fisherman, while water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, knee-boarding and jet skiing engage other sports enthusiasts. Flowing from Devils Lake is the 'D' River, which holds the title of one of the World's Shortest Rivers. From its source at Devils Lake, the river reaches its destination of the Pacific is a mere 120 feet.

Just 30 miles south is the town of Newport on Yaquina Bay, with it's working fleet of fishing vessels, plus sea lions basking on the docks and dozens of quaint bayfront shops and curio stores and restaurants.

World-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium is also located in Newport, as well as the Maritime Museum and the Hatfield Marine Science Center.  Your days will be delightful, whether beach combing for glass floats  or shopping or dining or reading in front of the fireplace!

Amazing views!

The moment you walk into the room, you are met with the most amazing views! We lucked out and had beautiful sunny days which led to stunning sunsets! This unit was perfect for our family! Plenty of room for everyone. Our only wish would be for screens on the living room windows. It would have been nice to have them opened without flies and bees coming in. Also, be careful with leaving your sandy shoes outside. My husband's were taken. We loved this unit so much that we booked again for this summer. We are really hoping screens are on the front windows by then!

Yes! New screens are in place!

Family gathering

We rented the 3 bedroom, both 2 bedrooms and 2 one bedrooms condos for 5 nights. Had family from 4 states. Awesome place to stay. Had little ones that had never been to the beach, they had a ball. Easy getting to beach. Fun watching people getting stuck. Owner (Teresa) was so very helpful and easy to work with. Thank you Teresa. Housekeeper (Jennifer)...she was out of this world. Thank you Jennifer. Would I go back? YES I WOULD. Would I recommend this place to others? YES I WOULD. Already have.

VRBO: Spectacular Coast View/Access

Captain's Quarters was a beautiful oceanfront location with magnificent views from the balcony and living room window. Additionally, access to the beach is steps away. We spent most of our time on the beach walking up and down the shoreline, hiking nearby trails (Cascade Head is a must), and ordering fresh seafood from Barnacle Bill's to take back to make in the kitchen. To anyone thinking of booking this awesome condo, here are a few tips: bring spices/condiments, beach towels, games/movies (more for potential little ones or family game nights), and firewood. Otherwise, this place exceeded our expectations because the beauty and sound of the ocean does not translate into photography. Also, Lincoln City is located perfectly inbetween Newport (to the south) and Tillamook (to the north). Each drive is roughly 30 minutes and driving Highway 101 is worth it for its spectacular ocean view. Additionally, Mike, the complex manager, is not only one of the nicest human beings you'll ever meet, but he is extremely knowledgeable about the area and can offer insight and recommendations as needed. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!
